Gate 34 — Power / The Power of the Great
What Gate 34 means
Gate 34 is raw, personal power — one of the strongest energies in the whole chart, and it demands total control over how it's actually used. You're built to act on your own gut responses, not on someone else's instructions, and this gate genuinely pushes back against being told what to do rather than invited to respond. When you're doing something you've actually responded to, this power is nearly unstoppable, capable of real output sustained over long stretches — think the person who can grind for hours once they're genuinely into it. Directed by someone else's agenda instead of your own gut response, that same power turns into stubborn resistance, or burns out chasing a plan that was never really yours. The skill here isn't holding this power back — it's making sure it only moves when you've genuinely said yes to something.

Shadow
